Samer NsouliChief Investment Officer
Samer has been Lyford Group International’s CIO since its founding. He has 20 years of investment industry experience. Mr. Nsouli began his investment career in 1988 after graduating from Boston College with a degree in finance, joining Drexel Burnham Lambert in Paris as a foreign-exchange trader. He left Drexel to earn an MBA at Columbia Business School in New York, graduating in 1992. Mr. Nsouli joined Lehman Brothers as a non-dollar government bond trader and market maker; he also traded Treasury STRIPs. In 1995 he joined UBS, also as a U.S. Treasury trader, making markets for the entire STRIPs curve, off-the-run bonds and high-coupon callable bonds. Mr. Nsouli left UBS in 1996 to oversee Fuji Bank’s zero-coupon bond desk, making markets in STRIPs, off-the-run bonds and high-coupon callable Treasuries. In 1997, Mr. Nsouli founded Scorpio Fund Advisors, where he managed multi-asset private client portfolios in fixed income, currencies, and equity indices using both Fundamental and technical analysis, with a focus on tactical trades. In 2001 Mr. Nsouli joined JPMorgan as a European Equities Sales-Trader. In early 2002, partnering with a family office he had known for several years, he launched the Lyford Fund. Mr. Nsouli lives in New York City.
Eric PickensChief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer
Eric began his career on Wall Street in 1986, first with Alliance Capital Management and subsequently Salomon Brothers Inc. Since earning his MBA in 1992, he has held COO and/or CFO positions at a number of investment and non-investment companies. Eric most recently worked at Christie Street Capital Management LP, a long-short equity fund, where he was responsible for all operating activities, with oversight of performance reporting, fund accounting, audit preparation and tax reporting. He supervised the firm’s operations including trading platforms, risk systems, technology, and compliance. Eric was also responsible for all investor relations and maintained the firm’s marketing materials and investment documentation. Prior to joining Christie Street, Eric was COO at Lyford Group International Ltd., where he was responsible for all non-investment activities. Eric received an MBA with a concentration in finance from Columbia’s Graduate School of Business in 1992 and a B.S. in Business Administration from The College of William & Mary in 1985.
Matthew DennisHead Trader
Matt has more than seven years of experience in the financial services industry and has been with the Firm since 2006. Prior to joining Lyford he worked as an investment performance associate at Cambridge associates and as a portfolio analyst at Credit Suisse Alternative Investments. Matt also spent time as a pit clerk for Rand Financial working at the Chicago Board of Trade. He holds a B.S. in finance from Lehigh University. Matt grew up in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1998.
